The Royal Flush is an ultra-dynamic whitewater kayak for paddlers over 75kg who are looking for a partner that rises to peak form in deep whitewater, but also takes a low-water day in Ticino with sporty composure.
High-volume boats quickly become heavy, because the surface area of the hull and therefore the boat’s weight grows with the volume. That is why we limited the target volume of the Royal Flush to 335ltr. To still carry a heavy paddler with little draught and stay dry, the Royal Flush floats on a long flat bottom. The ends were shaped wide and not too voluminous. This way, despite its length of 276cm, the boat can be turned quickly and effectively over the stern with a sweep stroke and accelerates easily to very high speeds.
It rewards an active, sporty style of paddling and delivers dynamic driving fun even on WW 3. Clearly, anyone who prefers a reactive style or Corsican whitewater is better served by the “Ace of Spades”. But whoever likes to pull on the stick “up top” in deep water and knows how to handle a long stern “down below” gets the “Hattori Hanzo sword” among heavy-water-capable long blades with the Royal Flush.
The fully integrated seat, thanks to its ergonomic shape, allows optimal seat height and comfortable sitting for many hours, even for very tall paddlers. The bracing in the bow stabilises the cockpit in critical pinning situations and after big drops, and serves as an emergency exit brace that can be reached with the foot.
